Buzz Word: What is an Adaptogen?
As the year drew to a close, I started to notice this word, Adaptogen, pop up more often. Now if you are into natural health and skin care, you might be familiar with the term.
However, if you are new, just dipping your toes into herbs and natural skin care, Some of these words aren’t as familiar. No Worries! A big part of Hazel’s Soapery is not only to provide Skin Essentials but to also break down some of the jargon. So that you are aware of what it means and make sound decisions. Not simply because you’ve heard it 50,000,000 times.
Note: I am NOT in the medical field. Nor am I an herbalist. I simply pass along the information I find during my research on ingredients. I strongly encourage you to research for yourself as well. In addition, While my products may contain these ingredients, I do not offer a magical or medicinal cure for anything. That’s why the Doctors and Homeopaths get paid the big bucks. So my recommendation is, although I am providing a working definition, before you use or take anything, always check with your healthcare provider first!!
So, I’m not gonna be too wordy here. The majority of the information is in the video. What I will do, is copy and paste the wording of the video underneath. In the event, you have “maturing eyes” like mine and need more than a few seconds to read!
Here’s the video. Enjoy and feel free to ask questions and share!
